Retail

We maintain thousands of sites for lots of household names, many of them national retailers in high street and out of town locations across the four corners of England, Scotland Wales and Ireland.

In addition to fire alarms, our engineers are trained and certified to work on portable extinguishers and emergency lighting. Having a multi-disciplined team of UK wide engineers each able to maintain fire alarms, portable extinguishers and emergency lighting on the same visit is particularly popular with our national retail customers. The cost savings realised through only having to send one engineer to site together with the benefits this brings in site familiarity makes Clymac a strong choice as a maintenance partner.

In order to fulfil our contracts and the sometimes tough KPI’s associated with retailers we have two different types of engineers with coverage across the UK; maintenance and ‘on demand’ (breakdown) engineers. This means our maintenance engineers can focus on delivering the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) visits on time, while our on demand engineers are available to respond quickly to fault call-outs when needed. A structure giving PPM and breakdown visits equal focus and importance makes for a reliable and consistent customer service.

All our vehicles are fitted with trackers so we are able to find the closest engineer to you when needed. Our engineers also carry PDAs so once the visit worksheet is completed electronically it is automatically emailed immediately to the client.

Our engineers are not salesmen and they don’t have sales targets to meet, however if they identify a fault or a non-compliance they will certainly bring it to your attention.

Having good UK coverage and well trained engineers is only part of the story, to be successful with large multisite contracts the administration support has to be able to cope with the sheer volume of activity. At Clymac all our service admin is centralised at our HQ in Loughborough and we are well drilled on managing these contracts. We have dedicated staff to deal with all the different aspects, these include; client portal interface, scheduling PPMs visits, assessing faults and mustering engineers to site, repairs estimators, small works estimators and overall account managers.

National engineering coverage and a robust service support backbone makes us an ideal choice for national accounts; large enough to cope but not too large to be complacent.
