Central & Local Government

We have a particular pedigree when it comes to providing fire alarm systems for central and local government. Our experience in designing and installing systems has helped us understand the importance of speed and cost effectiveness when selecting a system.

Traditional hardwired systems can be unsuitable in many cases, for example elderly people’s homes and public libraries. The prolonged disruption caused by installing cables throughout an elderly peoples home for example can be very distressing for the occupants. Likewise the disruption to the public in a library caused by an installation could impact on the sites ability to remain fully open during the works. Installing a new fire alarm system can also pose a problem in a listed building where visible cable may not be acceptable, or even possible, to install in a historic building with thick walls.

Clymac offer a wireless fire alarm system which is competitive and versatile making it ideally suited to Local Authority projects. Wireless systems can dramatically reduce installation time and can be easily modified to cope with changes in the building layout.
