Z755H AddressableSounder

The Z755H sounder is addressed and powered by the detection loop, simplifying both the initial system design and the installation. The Z755H removes the need to install separate sounder circuits thus significantly reducing the overall installed cost when compared to conventionally powered alarm sounders.

Each sounder has an internal microphone allowing 100% testing to reduce disruption during maintenance. After a short test the microphone in each unit checks whether the sounder operated. Any sounder failures during the test are reported to the ZP control panel. The microphone facility reduces the cost of routine testing by enabling one man to confirm that all of the sounders worked after a very short test, without leaving the control panel position. The reduced disruption provided by the microphone test is of paramount importance in such sensitive applications as hospitals, laboratories and busy office environments.

Being addressable, the Z755H is ideally suited to systems having complex cause and effect requirements. Each sounder can be individually programmed to suit any alert and evacuation alarm patterns whether it be double knock or complex time delay sequences.

  • Microphone for one man testing to minimise disruption
  • Loop powered to reduce installation cost
  • Up to 40 per loop to optimise system design

Details

Dependant upon loop length and loading up to 40 Z755H addressable loop powered sounders can be connected to each detection loop, with a maximum of 1km of 1.5mm2 cable per loop.

The sounder has 3 built-in tones, continuous, intermittent and 2 tone warble. Any 2 tones can be programmed at the control panel to operate as alert and evacuate alarms. Intermittent and warble tones are automatically synchronised by the ZP control panel to ensure concise audibility and greater understanding of the alarm status.

The sounder's horn incorporates a unique dual sounder chamber design to provide wide angled sound dispersion. Sound is dispersed from the side and front of the unit to provide an evenly balanced output of 102dBA all around.

Installation time is reduced through an innovative first fix wiring plate. The sounder incorporates moulded plugs to allow the unit to be simply clipped in to the wiring plate.
